Kitsap Community Foundation is delighted to welcome Jo as the newest member of our team!
Jo comes to KCF with 24 years of nonprofit experience, having held fundraising and operations positions in higher education, social service agencies, and environmental organizations. She discovered her true calling early on—when she realized how much joy she felt witnessing the visible, positive impact that community support has on people’s lives.
In her new role at KCF, Jo will lead our efforts to strengthen and support local nonprofits—helping them promote planned giving to their donors and volunteers, coordinating the Kitsap Great Give annual giving day, and guiding trainings through the Kitsap Center for Nonprofit Excellence.
Originally from Philadelphia, Jo is a graduate of George Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Systems. She lives by the belief that each of us carries a light that can make the world better—and that when we shine those lights together, we create a brighter future.
When she’s not working, Jo enjoys hiking, reading, making jewelry, and cooking plant-based meals (and sharing them with friends!). She’s also recently discovered a knack for gardening, and she feels most at home outdoors—especially on or near the water here in the Pacific Northwest.
We are deeply grateful to the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust for funding this important capacity-building position, which strengthens our ability to provide robust support for nonprofits across the Kitsap Peninsula.
Please join us in giving Jo a warm welcome to the Kitsap Community Foundation family!
