Estate Planning is About the People, Pets, and Causes You Love
Wednesday, August 12, 2026, 2:30 - 4:30pm
Kitsap Universalist Unitarian Fellowship
We invite you to join us at Community Conversations: Estate Planning 101 presented by Tina O'Brien, MNPL, CAP, CEO of Kitsap Community Foundation, and Jon Allen, VP of Business Development & Distribution at Vanbridge and Kitsap Bank + Heritage Bank.
Tina and Jon will use a broad scope of knowledge grounded in a consultative, planning-based philosophy to walk attendees through:
Why estate planning matters – and why so many of us put it off
The four estate planning documents everyone should have
Wills, and how they help you maintain control of your assets during your lifetime
Trusts, and how they can save on taxes while passing down assets
Donor-advised funds, which offer an immediate tax benefit while letting you support causes on your own timeline
How to create your will for free in just 20 minutes
We welcome and encourage you to bring guests and advisors! Space is limited, so don't delay.
Questions? Email us at info@kitsapfoundation.org or call (360) 698-3622.

Nonprofit friends, this part is for you!
Add this in-person session to your Make-A-Will month campaign this August.
We’re delighted to offer this Community Conversations: Estate Planning 101 session complimentary to your donors, volunteers, staff and board members!
Attendees will be encouraged to include the nonprofits they *already* love and support in their estate plans – and will be presented with specific information about how to do so.
Rest assured, Kitsap Community Foundation will not use this opportunity to self-promote; rather, the focus of this session is to offer a safe, trusted space for your donors and volunteers to learn how to support you – the nonprofit they already love – with legacy gifts.
We encourage you to send a special invitation to your donors and volunteers and take advantage of this informative outreach opportunity. Linked are promotional materials (Free Canva templates) you can tailor to send electronically or place into newsletters, as appropriate.
Space is limited, so please encourage your constituents to RSVP early to secure their spots.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship for generously providing a venue for this session to benefit our local nonprofits, as well as our friends at Kitsap Bank + Heritage Bank for partnering with us to present this vital information to your donors and volunteers!
