We’re excited to welcome Kimberly Cizek Allen to Kitsap Community Foundation. On Monday, April 13, she joins us as our new Program Associate, Nonprofit Support.
A Little About Kim
Kim is a lifelong Kitsap resident and is deeply invested in this community she calls home. Over the past decade, she’s worked across nonprofits with missions close to her heart including Kitsap Humane Society, Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center, and most recently Olympic College Foundation. Before transitioning into the nonprofit sector, Kim worked as a registered nurse, and that foundation of care, advocacy, and showing up for people in meaningful moments has shaped everything she’s done since.
She’s especially excited to support Kitsap Great Give as it is a celebration of everything that makes this community so special. Kim is a big fan of Kitsap Community Foundation, and she can’t wait to be part of the team.
Outside of work, you’ll find Kim snuggling with her cat Eddy, walking at the park with her dog Rudy, or playing board games with her long-time partner and best friend Jesse. You’ll also find her foraging for mushrooms and edible plants in the forest, watching for birds to add to her life list, and spending time with the friends and community she loves.
Her Role at KCF
As Program Associate, Nonprofit Support, Kim will lead our efforts to strengthen and support local nonprofits—helping them promote planned giving to their donors and volunteers, coordinating the Kitsap Great Give annual giving day, and guiding trainings through the Kitsap Center for Nonprofit Excellence (KCNE).
We’re so glad to have Kim joining our team.
We are deeply grateful to the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust for funding this important capacity-building position, which strengthens our ability to provide robust support for nonprofits across the Kitsap Peninsula.
