Announces Appointment of Pete Atha
as New Executive Director

Tom Kilbane, Chair of the Kitsap Community Foundation, announced that Pete Atha has been named the new Executive Director of the Kitsap Community Foundation.
"We interviewed several excellent candidates but Pete's strong executive experience, history of community involvement and knowledge of Kitsap County made him an ideal choice", noted Kilbane.
Pete Atha has over 25 years of experience in marketing, strategic planning and fund development. Atha spent 20 years of his professional career at the national level with Junior Achievement Inc., where he served in many senior level positions including President of Junior Achievement of Middle America, Inc. (Kansas City, MO); Director of Operations, Western Region; and Vice President of Special Projects to name a few. Prior to joining the foundation staff, he held the position of Director of Development at The Bloedel Reserve, and he served as President and Chief Professional Officer of the United Way Whatcom County operation.
Atha earned a Masters of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in education from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA. Pete resides on Bainbridge Island.
